About Us

Sweetie Kawaii takes inspiration from Kawaii culture. Our array of products includes kawaii stationery, authentic plushies, officially licensed figures, collectables, and more. We are committed to catering to a diverse audience and spreading happiness through all things kawaii!

Our History

We are a UK-based independent business that has been bringing kawaii culture to the UK since 2019. Previously we had an Etsy shop dedicated to handmade J-fashion style jewellery but over time we have expanded and outgrew our business. We decided to move onto a different platform and have a fresh start.

In early 2019, we officially launched our website! Originally our business was more convention and events-focused but over time we have been bringing kawaii goods right to your doorstep! As we are based in the UK our UK customers don’t have to worry about those surprise import fees. We are still attending conventions and events around the UK, so please check out our events calendar for our most up-to-date schedule!

We have been carefully curating a selection of kawaii goods and J-culture style merchandise ever since. All our products are officially licensed as we source all our items directly from the brands themselves, authorised brand partners and directly from Japan.

Message from the Shop Owner

Sweetie Kawaii came from my love for J-culture and general Asian culture. When I was growing up in the UK there was limited access to Asian goods and resources. All the items I have curated in my shop in a way help me connect to my Asian roots. Sharing the things that I grew up with, and my interests that sparked joy in my life is what I am passionate about and I hope you will enjoy them too!
